Is it possible for an item to be better for the planet, your health and your knife blade? You bet! Bamboo is naturally microbial, containing bamboo kun, an agent that it produces to protect itself from harmful microbes and fungi. It's also easier on knife blades, tending not to blunt the edge. Finally, Bamboo is better for the planet, creating 35% more oxygen than similar sized stand of trees, needing no chemicals to grow, and requiring less fresh water to grow. Bamboo is often mistaken for a tree but is, in fact, a grass. That gives it a unique grain that is both elegant and natural looking. As a natural product, tone variations may occur. Laser logos will vary in color due to being lasered on a natural plant. Hand washing recommended. FDA Certified.
